This blogging is new to me, but here goes. We (my wonderful love,Chuck) and I took a small road trip to Glenwood, NM and around the loop to Reserve, Snow Lake, Willow creek, and Mogollon.
First, on the way , we stopped by Bill Evans Lake. This is a man made lake kept up by Phelps Dodge. I’ve been fishing and camping there several times thru the years.
This was quite a trip in many ways. First of all, at noon, in Glenwood, there was nowhere to eat!! So we continued on to Alma,
where we found one small cafe open. Good food, too!, but no motel. So we went on to Reserve, where we found a room, but no food. Again!!
We saw some beautiful country as we were geocacheing, also.
This was also very amusing as I had never seen anything like it! We did have delicious breakfast in Reserve and off we went to Snow Lake and Willow Creek. This is some really beautiful country and if you have not been there it’s worth going.
From here to Mogollon, an old mining town, very small and quaint. Believe me, I would not want to live there in the winter!!!
Back to Glenwood and the Catwalk. This place has changed quite a bit from when I first saw it. Back when it was a wood swinging catwalk! Too many floods washing it out and here it is today.
Back to the desert, which is home. Deming ,HERE WE COME!!
LATER…………….
